Are you looking for a role with complexity? With fresh challenges and projects to work through on a regular basis. A role which provides mental stimulation, challenge, and important deliverables?

Do you enjoy establishing trusted relationships with senior stakeholders - people who'll challenge you, who need you to be on the ball, who you may need to have difficult conversations with?

Can you manage and lead a team of ambitious, talented accountants, bringing something new to the table when they may already be performing well and knowledgeable about their responsibilities?

This opportunity is a rare chance to join one of the worlds largest law firms in a managerial capacity, requiring a highly capable accountant, with a proven background of handling complex accounting tasks in an international, multi-currency environment.

There will be a learning curve for the successful applicant to understand the complexities and technicalities of the role, but you will be joining a high performing, high calibre, established team.

The team are responsible for coordination of complex partner-related payments globally, leading the annual profit allocation process, quarterly profit distribution calculations and ensuring robust financial controls are in place in relation to payments to partners. They support the year-end process, working with external auditors and Group Reporting teams. They coordinate with banks for partner loans, work with colleagues in Tax teams to understand tax implications and coordinate information for them. Interaction with Partners is constant, preparing cashflow estimates and supporting them with their major financial arrangements.

It is likely that the successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with solid post qualification experience in a complex, technical accounting capacity, including project experience. Managerial experience is also essential, with strong leadership qualities. Strong, relationship-driven communication skills are key, together with a proactive and 'can-do' approach.

If you feel your experience could be relevant and you gain job satisfaction from challenge and variety, please apply now or contact Richard Hooper at Balance Recruitment directly to discuss further.
