The legal sector is a hard one to break in to.
Industry-specific finance systems dominate the market and the nuances of how law firms operate has created a bubble where the majority of firms have historically sought to recruit from within the industry.
When people do find a route in to the legal sector, they very rarely look elsewhere. Reward packages are highly competitive and you’ll be working with sharp minds requiring innovative solutions to meet the ever increasing needs of their clients, whilst gaining competitive advantage over their peers.
Opportunities to make that transition do arise every so often however.
We’re currently working with one of world’s largest law firms, and they’re actively interested to meet with talented Finance Systems Managers from other professional industry backgrounds.
You’ll have a rich resource of sector-expertise above and below you within this role, setting you up for success and allowing your leadership and stakeholder management skills to shine.
You’ll work very closely with the Head of Finance Systems, directly managing a team of 10 (inc. two managers) and with high visibility across the firm globally. You’ll have ownership of a number of systems relating to finance processes, managing vendor relationships and making recommendations for improvements and systems replacements.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate proven abilities in driving performance and development of individuals, with a successful background of leading and motivating effective teams.
The firm operate a hybrid working arrangement with 60% of your time based in their stunning City of London offices.
