The opportunity here could either be a step up for someone moving from a team-based role to a sole-responsibility position, or it could just provide a new challenge and fresh environment for someone already working at an equivalent level.
The role is positioned within the finance team at this firm, but works closely and acts as a crucial link with colleagues in IT. The firm's practice management system is Aderant Expert, and whilst prior knowledge of this system would be helpful, if you've relevant experience in an Elite Enterprise or 3E environment, this could present an opportunity to broaden your systems knowledge.
Responsibilities are wide ranging, but include management of systems upgrades, testing and the ongoing development of finance systems, data, reporting and associated tools. The workload is therefore a healthy mix of proactive and reactive tasks with both project-led and routine/cyclical responsibilities.
Strong SQL/SSRS reporting skills will be highly advantageous, as would a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting processes.
