Gone are the days of the stereotypical accountant. Finance teams are increasingly moving to the forefront of commercial decision-making and in helping businesses and management boards to truly understand the drivers of success and failure.
At least, that should be the case if you're working for the right employer. We're currently supporting a highly successful professional services business in West Sussex, who have been celebrated in their industry for their commitment to innovation and transformative approach to client delivery.
Their finance function is a key driver of change in the firm, and they currently have a rare opening for a qualified accountant who wants to challenge themselves in such an environment. It's a role well suited to a recently qualified accountant who wants to join a firm who'll provide challenge, development and long term progression.
The responsibilities are wide ranging, but key to the success of the role will be the provision of insightful management information to help analyse profitability and performance, whilst supporting commercial decision-making across the firm. You'll need to have experience and an interest in the creation of financial reports and analysis, manipulation of data and have a razor sharp attention to detail.
In addition to the provision of financial analysis, you'll also have responsibility for the production of management accounts and provide assistance with financial accounting processes. You'll therefore need to have a solid background in accounting, and be able to manage a varied workload effectively.
If this sounds like the ideal next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you and can share more information about the role and employer.
