Ready for a fresh challenge, but only seeing MI/BI/Reporting roles that are either: too "back office" and too heavily focused on technical capabilities or those at the other end of the spectrum, which merely produce reporting from applications and tools that someone else is responsible for developing?

We're currently supporting a global professional services firm with their search for a Business Information Manager - someone who can act as a business partner to the firm, working closely with commercial finance colleagues, whilst also playing a key, proactive role in the technical development of systems and reporting.

You'll be based within the firms FP&A team, yet work closely with colleagues in both finance and IT, becoming a subject matter expert on the firms global practice management system and finance applications, and working with the business to meet operational and strategic reporting requirements for clients internal and external across the EMEA region. The role holds management responsibility over a small team of one or two Business Information Process Analysts, and whilst previous managerial/supervisory experience would be useful, this could also present development opportunity for someone yet to manage others.

The firm have a truly global reach and have recently made significant investment in implementing a new global practice management systems. The successful applicant will therefore be joining during a period of dynamic change and improvement to processes and performance, and will need to bring real drive and determination to the role and team.

It is likely that shortlisted applicants will hold previous experience within a professional services firm in a role contributing to the development of financial reporting and MI/BI. You should also have experience of project management and engaging with key stakeholders.
