There has been no shortage of demand for finance systems analysts in the legal sector over recent months, but very few non-managerial roles that have as much autonomy and responsibility as this one.
The role offers great variety and requires someone who can juggle their workload effectively, being able to coordinate scheduled projects and periodic tasks, alongside unpredictable day to day issues. You'll play a key role in liaising between Finance and IT departments on development projects and work closely with senior management in both functions.
The role reports in to a senior manager who holds responsibility for group accounting alongside finance systems, and hence this role requires an experienced individual who enjoys taking responsibility and being the key point of contact on a day to day basis.
It's important to stress however, that this is a role for someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty! Someone who can cover all aspects of an effective finance systems function, and someone who takes pride in that. Alongside project work and development initiatives (upgrades, implementations, customisations, development of reporting etc.), you'll also be responsible for providing support and training to finance systems users and managing routine requirements such as supporting month end close.
To be considered for this role you will need to have comparable experience working within finance systems within the legal sector, ideally with exposure to Elite 3E or Elite Enterprise. This could be a step up opportunity if you're currently working in a larger team, but you will need to have had some exposure to project work, such as supporting systems implementations and upgrades. Strong SQL are also required.
