The firm currently have a vacancy for a Financial Controller to join as part of the senior management team based within their office in South West London. You will have a broad ranging remit in managing the day to day operations of the accounts functions and providing reporting and analysis to the partnership.
The role requires a commercially astute Financial Controller/Finance Manager with a proven background in financial management gained within the legal sector (as you will need to ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules). A proactive individual who enjoys identifying and implementing efficiencies will find this a rewarding environment in which they can make a tangible contribution to the success of the firm.
Alongside supervision of a small team responsible the day to day financial transactions, you will also prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheet reporting and analysis of aged WIP. You will also be responsible for submission of VAT returns, liaison with the firms accountants and attending weekly senior management team meetings.
