We are working with a well-established, mid-sized London law firm to recruit a Revenue Assistant into their busy Finance Department. As Revenue Assistant, you will be responsible for accurately converting work in progress (WIP) into compliant invoices, supporting debt collection activity and ensuring client queries are handled professionally and within agreed timeframes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing a high volume of invoices each month in line with established procedures
- Managing debt collection activity in accordance with the credit control process
- Resolving and escalating client queries within appropriate timeframes
- Actioning requests from practice teams efficiently and to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining accurate records of unpaid invoices within the firm's debt collection system
- Providing support to Revenue Controllers and keeping senior team members informed of any issues or concerns
- Our client is ideally looking for candidates with one to two years of relevant experience in revenue, billing or credit control, gained within a law firm, financial services organisation or another professional services environment.
- Thrives under pressure and can manage a high-volume workload to tight deadlines
- Has the confidence and gravitas to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders including partners and fee earners
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and in conversation
- Is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; experience of legal practice management systems is desirable
