Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a varied and fast-paced role within a high-profile, internationally recognised law firm? A well-regarded and ambitious firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join their Finance team as a Legal Cashier. This is a firm where Finance is genuinely valued as a strategic function rather than simply a support service, and where you will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

The Role
The Legal Cashier will sit within a team of six cashiers, working under the supervision of the Cashiers Team Leader and providing a high-quality cashiering function across the firm. The role covers a broad range of cashiering duties and also supports the firm's international offices.

Key responsibilities include:
Allocating and posting all client funds receipts received via online banking, processing client to client transfers, and investigating and allocating funds received for bills.
Processing payments out of client funds via online banking and cheque, taking client card payments, and handling interest calculations both manually and automatically.
Managing foreign currency transactions via online banking and dealing with the opening, closing and maintenance of joint accounts.
Liaising with the firm's bank to resolve queries, responding promptly to ad hoc queries from Partners, Associates and Secretaries, and handling cashiering transactions across the firm's international offices.

The Candidate will ideally have:
Solid, demonstrable legal cashiering experience and a strong working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Excellent IT skills, with experience of systems such as CMS, Aderant or Elite being particularly advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage your own workload whilst contributing positively to the wider team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a personable and confident approach and the ability to build relationships with Partners and key stakeholders at all levels.
A resilient, calm and adaptable approach under pressure, with a proactive attitude and the ability to use your own initiative.
