We are working with a highly regarded London based law firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Legal Biller to join their Revenue Control team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone available immediately or on a short notice period who thrives in a fast paced, process driven environment and enjoys taking ownership of the billing lifecycle from start to finish.
The role
As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the billing function. You will manage the end to end billing process in line with firm policy, HMRC and SRA rules, working closely with partners, fee earners and the wider revenue team.
Key responsibilities
Taking ownership of the billing process from proforma through to final invoice
Attending monthly WIP meetings and actioning agreed tasks
Generating reports and reviewing WIP
Editing and posting invoices in line with firm policy and regulatory requirements
Producing bespoke invoice narratives
Managing complex and composite invoices
Processing credit notes, write offs, WIP and disbursement transfers
Handling specific invoicing arrangements and billing instructions
Maintaining accurate billing data across client and matter files
Managing queries within the Finance inbox
Working collaboratively with colleagues to improve billing processes
About you
Recent experience in a Legal Biller
Strong working knowledge of HMRC and SRA rules
Confident managing complex billing matters and stakeholder relationships
Elite 3E experience is essential
E billing experience desirable
Professional, proactive and able to operate effectively under pressure
