Junior Legal Cashier
Up to £35,000
London (Hybrid – Office based 2 days a week)

Our client is a well-established, independent London law firm with a wealth of heritage. Partner-led and purposefully built, they operate across a broad range of complementary commercial disciplines and act for an impressive and varied client base. They are known for their collegiate culture, encouraging employees to be themselves and work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.

About the Role
This is a newly created Junior Legal Cashier position, sitting within the Finance team and reporting to the Chief Cashier. The role has been created to support the team's growing workload and offers excellent scope for development, with exposure to the client account function and the firm's invoicing process as you settle in.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their legal finance career to join a respected firm and build real breadth of experience.

What You'll Be Doing
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include processing receipts and payments across client, office and nominal accounts, client to office transfers, daily Land Registry allocations, courier cost posting, client onboarding including AML and KYC searches, accounts payable, and writing off time, disbursements and expenses. On a weekly basis you will be producing aged debtors, new matter listing and funds on account transfer reports, Barclaycard allocation and posting, and assisting with month end preparation. Monthly duties include purchase ledger payments, supplier statement reconciliations and ad hoc reporting.

About You
You will have a minimum of one year's legal accounts experience and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be organised, accurate, able to use your initiative and confident communicating with fee earners and wider staff.

What's on Offer
Up to £35,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with two days per week in the office, and excellent learning and development opportunities within a firm that genuinely invests in its people.
