About the Firm
Our client is a well-regarded, sector-focused international law firm with a strong global presence. As their client base grows and eBilling requirements become increasingly complex, they are looking to strengthen their Revenue and Collections function with a dedicated eBilling specialist. This is a firm that invests in its people and takes a genuinely progressive, commercially minded approach to finance.
About the Role
Reporting into the Revenue Manager, you will be the firm's go-to expert for all things eBilling - from onboarding new clients onto their platforms through to resolving rejections, generating LEDES files and handling complex uploads for key corporate clients. You will work closely with Partners, fee earners, Revenue Controllers, PAs, clients and external vendors, so the ability to communicate confidently and diplomatically across all of those relationships is just as important as your technical knowledge.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Onboarding new and existing clients onto eBilling platforms, including full setup of rates, task codes, timekeeper ranks and billing rules
- Managing the eBilling mailbox, resolving rejections promptly and ensuring corrective action is in place for future uploads
- Generating LEDES files and uploading eBills to client platforms, including high-volume uploads for key corporate clients
- Maintaining timekeepers, matter, rates and invoice data within Elite and across client platforms
- Supporting EBH setup, testing and maintenance
- Providing weekly and monthly reporting on eBilling activity
- Attending client meetings to discuss ongoing issues and drive improvements to the billing process
- Training Revenue Controllers and PAs on new processes and maintaining the firm's eBilling intranet guidance
About You
We are looking for someone with solid eBilling experience gained within a legal partnership or LLP environment, who is technically confident, client-focused and comfortable managing a busy and varied workload.
You will bring:
- At least 18 months' revenue experience within a legal or professional services environment, with a minimum of one year's hands-on eBilling experience
- Strong knowledge of LEDES file formats and web-based eBilling systems and vendors
- Experience of a practice management system, ideally Elite 3E, alongside solid Excel skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the tact and diplomacy to manage pressurised situations effectively
- A highly client-focused mindset and working knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules
- A proactive, detail-conscious approach and a genuine drive to improve processes
