Are you an organised, proactive finance professional with a talent for building strong client relationships?

Do you thrive in a fast-paced professional services environment where accuracy and client service truly matter?

This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role within a respected law firm, supporting Partners and helping drive efficient billing, collections, and financial operations across the business.

The Role
As a Billing & Client Finance Coordinator, you’ll support designated Partners across the full client and matter lifecycle. From matter opening and compliance checks (Conflicts and AML) through to billing, collections, and financial reporting, you’ll be a vital point of contact for both internal teams and clients.

Your role will centre on ensuring smooth financial processes, maximising revenue, and maintaining exceptional client service standards. Working closely with the Finance Supervisor and wider management team, you’ll build strong, trusted relationships with partners and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue monthly bills in line with firm policies and UK VAT legislation.
  • Review and update prebills, escalating complex issues when needed.
  • Upload e-bills and liaise with the e-billing team.
  • Assist with Client & Matter Openings, including conflicts searches and AML requests.
  • Ensure engagement letters, fee alerts, and billing arrangements are correctly set up.
  • Monitor WIP, prompt billing, and process write-offs where appropriate.
  • Schedule and run monthly inventory review meetings with Partners.
  • Liaise with clients on Accounts Receivable matters, ensuring prompt resolution of queries.
  • Provide weekly WIP updates and client-specific reporting when required.
  • Manage time transfers, reason coding, and client/matter reviews.
  • Support other teams with billing needs and assist with audit requests.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance projects as needed.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • At least 2 years’ billing or collections experience, ideally within a law firm.
  • Strong proficiency in billing systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Confidence working with clients, Partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to team goals.
  • Clear, professional communication skills.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a well-regarded firm where you’ll have genuine ownership of your work, grow meaningful relationships with Partners and clients, and contribute directly to revenue success.

If you’re detail-driven, client-focused, and ready for your next step in legal finance, this role offers the perfect platform.
