Up to £42,000
Benefits:

Our client is a highly regarded international law firm with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. They offer a collaborative and supportive finance function, a genuinely impressive benefits package, and real opportunity for professional development for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity for someone at the earlier stages of their finance career who is looking to build broad, hands-on experience within a prestigious professional services environment. Joining the Finance Team, you will provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support across UK and European operations, working closely with the Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
On the accounting side, you will assist with the preparation of information for statutory accounts, internal reviews, and external audits, support month-end close processes including routine journal entries, and assist with balance sheet, revenue, and expense reconciliations. You will also support general ledger coding and prepare periodic financial reports, liaising with the wider Finance Systems team as required.
From a tax perspective, you will assist with UK and European e-invoicing compliance, help gather data for VAT returns and other regulatory submissions, and support the team with Making Tax Digital and other evolving tax authority requirements.
More broadly, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives, provide cover during busy periods or absences, and are encouraged to explore AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency in day-to-day tasks.
What They Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have A-Levels or equivalent, along with some prior experience in an accounting or finance support role. Legal industry experience is advantageous but not essential. You should be a competent Excel user, highly organised, and comfortable with reconciliations. Familiarity with financial software such as Elite is a bonus. Ambition to study towards a professional accounting qualification is welcomed.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are equally important.
