Accounts Payable Coordinator

Why Apply?
With a generous reward scheme including 30 days annual leave, performance bonus and enhanced parental leave benefits, it’s no wonder this firm has low staff turnover. They’re now looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join their City of London team.

You’ll be part of a smaller, close-knit group within a global law firm — enjoying the collaborative atmosphere of a boutique while benefiting from the resources and prestige of an international name. Hybrid working offers flexibility, with the team typically in the office Tuesday to Thursday.

What You’ll Do
In this varied role, you’ll be responsible for the full Accounts Payable function in London, including:
  • Processing invoices through 3E/Chrome River, checking coding/approvals and resolving issues promptly.
  • Reviewing and verifying partner and employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with VAT and HMRC guidelines.
  • Managing the corporate Amex account, providing compliance reports and handling related payments.
  • Processing client-chargeable professional fees and liaising with lawyers for correct matter numbers.
  • Running weekly payment cycles for invoices, expenses and Amex.
  • Monitoring and clearing debit balances on the AP ledger.
  • Handling ad hoc finance queries and requests from firm management.
What You’ll Need
  • At least 1–2 years’ experience in a similar AP role within a law firm.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and financial systems (3E or similar).
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and self-motivated.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
About the Firm
A global law firm headquartered in the US, with over 1,400 lawyers across 17 time zones. The London office, established in 2010, is one of the largest in the network and serves as the hub of the firm’s EMEA operations. With around 200 staff in London, the office balances the stature of a major international practice with the personable, inclusive culture of a close-knit team.

Clients include some of the world’s most respected names in private equity, life sciences, healthcare, financial services, and technology. The firm is recognised for its first-class work, pragmatic approach, and unwavering standards of service and ethics.
