Description:
Supporting the operations of this blue chip transport business, the Operations Finance Manager will hold the following accountabilities:

* Primary interface between Finance operations business units. Champion the finance agenda, support, coach and enable the operations team to deliver their financial targets.
* Actively seek to understand the financial performance and key cost drivers of the business unit
* Lead the business planning and performance review processes
* Support business partners in providing updates to forecasts and budgets
* Identify emerging risks and opportunities and recommendations to recover profit shortfalls
* Proactively explore opportunities for additional financial efficiencies
* Work with other Finance managers to ensure consistent standards of reporting and analysis
* Support the Long Term Business Planning process, including capture of strategic initiatives and the impact of capital projects on operating costs, by developing collaborative working practices with the operations business partners and the Capital & Solutions team
* Ensure financial controls are fit for purpose, escalating any non compliance with recommendations for improvements

In collaboration with business partners, champion internal process review and improvement within operations ensuring more is delivered with less or leveraged resource.

You will be a qualified accountant with 5-8 years post qualified experience with experience within a large scale multi business unit and have had experience within a manufacturing, FMGG/food retailer in an operations finance role.
